We are about to start our winter cooking again for our friends at the Christchurch City Mission.  A philanthropic North Canterbury farmer has once again donated an entire cattle beast so we will be able to make hundreds of meals again.  Last year our final total was more than 1800 meals and more than 800 dozen homemade biscuits, an amazing accomplishment with the money you all so generously dontaed.  Let's see if we can top that this year!  If you would like to contribute again, you can do so by making a donation directly into our City Mission Fund National Bank account 06-0817-0315242-00.  Alternatively, cheques can be sent to White Tie City Mission Fund, P O Box 22 002, Christchurch 8142. Last year a few of our clients even joined us for the cooking off!  So if you are interested, our cooking dates so far are Tuesday August 3rd and Tuesday August 17th.  Drop us a line at magic@whiteticatering.co.nz if you would like to muck in. In addition, the City Mission is currently looking for volunteers to lend a hand to its various services, particularly at Walsh House.  Email margaret@citymission.org.nz if you can spare a few hours.
