Weddings
The venue is one of the key ingredients to your wedding. It will set the tone for the day – casual, formal, intimate, gala, beach or gallery. The choices are infinite and we can assist you in selecting one to suit your needs. We have venues we work with exclusively, others that are available for hire and we can also cater in your home and in a marquee.
Pemberton, at Prebbleton
This beautiful “Indian teahouse” is set amongst large formal gardens, suitable for ceremonies or garden parties. The beauty of Pemberton is that everything is on site ready to go. This includes tables, chairs and linen, glassware and crockery. It is set on private grounds and is styled on a garden pavilion featuring courtyards with outdoor fireplaces, bi-folding doors to extensive gardens and separate car parking. There are a number of spots perfect for ceremonies, either in one of the hedged gardens or under the pergola. Pemberton can seat up to 180 guests around the central dance floor.

LARCOMB
Larcomb is located just 30 minutes south of Christchurch and has two great venue options - a small barn seating up to 80 guests or the Larcomb big barn, seating up to 340. With recent renovations including bespoke contemporary pendant lights in the big barn, Larcomb has a great town meets country vibe. The big barn also accommodates a large dance floor with ample room for a stage. As a blank canvas, it's perfect for putting your personality into your big day.

Ilam Homestead
Ilam Homestead is currently closed due to earthquake repairs
Set amongst the famous azalea and rhododendron gardens at the University of Canterbury, this grand old dame is a fine example of the gracious living of an era past. The Homestead’s interior accommodates any wedding style – long intimate dinners, cocktail evenings, port around the fire and dessert from the sideboard. It’s perfect for ceremonies on the lawn and photos in the stunning gardens and weeping willows. The upstairs dining room seats up to 100 while the downstairs lounge areas host up to 130 for finger-food style receptions. Alternatively, a marquee is stunning on the expansive lawn with clear walls overlooking the river and lanterns in the trees... Ilam Homestead lawns and gardens are an exclusive marquee venue, with the number of events permitted each year strictly limited. Contact us today to get an interim booking.

The Great Hall, Christchurch Art’s Centre
THe GREAT HALL IS CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO EARTHQUAKE REPAIRS
The historic Great Hall in The Christchurch Arts Centre is a stunning design with architectural features including kauri work and Oamaru stone. It’s stained glass window presides over the hall leaning itself to the romanticism of your wedding. Our dramatic candelabra were made especially for The Great Hall and are striking left either plain or decorated by your florist as a centrepiece.

Christchurch’s Centre of Contemporary Art is a wonderfully unique find as a wedding venue. With polished floors and white walls adorned with some of the finest New Zealand art, it has a wonderful authentic Kiwi flavour. Square tables are our particular favourite in the gallery and full wedding set ups are easily breath-taking. CoCA can seat 200 and host up to 500 for cocktail weddings.
THE heritage chapel, christchurch central

The Heritage Chapel in Christchurch's stunning historic music centre is a beautiful, high ceilinged, wooden pannelled hall. Ideal for weddings of around 60-70 seated, or 150 in cocktail style, the chapel is a favourite (we had a family wedding there!). It's also uniquely positioned adjacent to the city's breathtaking basilica for brides & grooms planning a church ceremony.

This old vineyard in Tai Tapu is the perfect location for romantics...creeping vines, white gravel courtyard, lavendar bushes and terracotta dining room. Seating up to 120, Cossars works great as a formal wedding location or equally well for a smaller intimate event.
Isaac Theatre Royal, Christchurch Central

With its recent extensive refurbishment, the Isaac Theatre Royal is a superb example of an Historical Edwardian Heritage Theatre. With so many different rooms and areas to select from, the theatre is suitable for any style of wedding. From cocktails, balls and formal dinners, the options are endless. The Theatre can seat 100 in the foyer, up to 200 on stage and 400 for cocktails in the upstairs reception area.
valley of peace alpaca stud, hoon hay valley
Once a barn for alpacas...now a stunning and unique venue. The Valley of Peace Alpaca Stud has a fabulous red barn with wide wooden doors and beams, carpeted floor, bar and room for a commercial kitchen. It seats around 90 inside or is a great site for an adjacent dining marquee with dancing in the barn later at night.
Longbeach Cookshop, Ashburton
The Longbeach Cookshop just south of Ashburton is a stunning old red brick homestead and includes an historic little chapel on the homestead grounds. With true regional history and a well-established setting, Longbeach is a beautifully regal wedding venue and perfect for seated dinners, garden parties or marquees.
Rippon Vineyard, Wanaka
Resting on the shores of Lake Wanaka, a marquee at Rippon gives your guests the most stunning views. Rippon Vineyard has become a popular wedding location not only for locals but also New Zealanders travelling home to get married, showcasing their country to their friends. White Tie is experienced in all the logistics of away-catering and has a particular soft spot for Rippon.
FRENCH FARM, AKAROA
French Farm is a beautiful Mediterranean style vineyard and winery on the glorious Banks Peninsula. With a large dining room, stunning courtyard with vine canopy and extensive grounds, French Farm is the perfect venue for a wedding.

Marquees, Your place
Marquees always add a wonderful sense of occasion but also mean your wedding can be in your favourite back paddock or right on the edge of the most beautiful lake.
